SHILLONG: The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of East Jaintia Hills (EJH) on Saturday recorded the statement of  CSWO member Amita Sangma in NEIGRIHMS but   the ADM could not record the statement of  CSWO president, Agnes Kharshiing.

The ADM however, took the statement of   doctors in NEIGRHMS who informed the ADM that  Kharshiing is not yet fit to record her statement.

The ADM recorded the statement of Amita Sangma as  East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner  has ordered an inquiry to ascertain the facts and circumstances   leading to the assault against Kharshiing and her colleague , Amita Sangma.

It was learnt that the ADC had been given 15  days time to submit his report into the matter but the ADM might seeks more time to submit his report to the DC

Meanwhile, Joh Kharshiing, brother of Agnes Kharshiing said that she was still not yet fully well though she was recovering and it would  definitely take some time for her to recover.

It was also informed that the  Doctors want to conduct an orthopedic surgery on Kharshiing on Monday but  there are chances of certain complications  which  might occur and the NEIGRIHMS authorities wants the consent of the family before conducting the surgery.

However, Kharshiing said that the family has sought time from the doctors and the matter will be discussed in the family  before taking a final call on the matter.

It  may be recalled that kharshiing and her colleague, Amita Sangma were brutally injured in a village in East Jaintia Hills while they were in the village to investigate into the illegal coal mining taking place there.
