SHILLONG: If the slow pace of investigation into the assault of the two activists is not enough then the insensitiveness of the East Jaintia Hills district administration is an added pain.
The additional district magistrate, SS Syiemlieh, sent a letter to Agnes Kharshiing and Amita Sangma on November 18 asking them to appear before him to record their statements.
Both Agnes and Amita are still in the recovery stage with the former still critical and waiting for another surgery.
Syiemlieh will visit NEIGRIHMS around 11am on Saturday, John Kharshiing said.
He also said the district administration team would probably meet the doctors first and then the victims, if they are in a position to speak.
John informed that the team may have to speak to only Sangma as it may be difficult for them to speak to Agnes.
