Motor cycle rally to Myanmar flagged off

Imphal: Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh flagged off a ten day motorcycle rally to Myanmar from Hotel Imphal on Saturday. The expedition tour is organised by ‘Pack the Bag’, with an aim to promote tourism and cultural Integration and is participated by eight bikers from different parts of the country.
Minister Biswajit stated that the expedition tour will further strengthen the emotional and cultural integration as the tour is being participated by eight bikers across the country. He lauded the efforts of the organiser for organising the expedition which will help in strengthening the relations of different state.
The bikers will pass through Kalaymyo, Monyna, Mandalay, Inle Lake, Ragan, Yangon. He further explained that the State Government is organising Sangai Festival to promote the tourism sector showcasing exotic cuisine, handloom and handicrafts products of the State.
The Minister asserted that without development of North East India, India cannot be called a developed country.
He also urged the bikers should to carry the message of love and affection back home. The flagging off ceremony was also attended by members of pack the Bag. (UNI)
