IGNOU exams
The Regional Director of IGNOU has informed that the December term end examinations will be conducted from December 1 to December 31, 2018. The date sheets of the examinations are on the IGNOU website. Candidates are advised to download the hall tickets from www.ignou.ac.in.
PDS
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has informed that the last date for submission of applications for fresh/renewal appointment of Government Nominees/Agents in PDS has been extended till November 30.
Lok Adalat
The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), West Garo Hills Tura has informed that a National Lok Adalat will be organized on all subject matters on the District and Sessions Court premises at 10 am on December 8. In this connection, all persons who have received summons or notices from the court to attend the National Lok Adalat for settlement or disposal of their cases are requested to attend the same on the date and venue mentioned above.
Pre-Christmas
The Young Women’s Christian Association, Shillong along with its hostellers celebrated Pre-Christmas at Fair Haven Bivar Road on Sunday. Dr. Rio J Nongrum, professor, Lady Keane College was the guest speaker. The programme was organised by the hostellers.
Condolence
In a meeting held on Sunday, the members of the Gorkha Secondary School Alumni Association, Upper Shillong observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to late Dilap Thapa, son of PB Thapa and Devi Maya Thapa who passed away on November. The meeting also resolved to send a condolence message to the bereaved family.
