SHILLONG: The personal security officer of Bajengdoba MLA Pongseng Marak (NPP) has been arrested for allegedly shooting the leader’s servant in the city recently.
Sources said the incident took place a few days ago when Marak wanted more alcohol late at night. The servant told him that it would be difficult to get alcohol at that hour prompting the PSO to shoot at his hand.
When contacted, senior police officials of the district confirmed the incident saying they have registered a case against the PSO.
The MLA was not available for comments.
