Shillong: A global campaign on 16-days Activism Against Gender Based Violence Campaign is observed by North East Network (NEN) to raise awareness on the issue of women and girls starting from November 25 to December 10 where issues related to women and girls/children in the state have been highlighted.
As part of observing this campaign, NEN will be organising a felicitation programme to recognize and appreciate the contribution made by women in our community in addressing Gender Based Discrimination in the society. Theilin Phanbuh Chairperson Meghalaya State Commission for Women and Meena Kharkongor Chairperson Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Right, have consented to be the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
