2 coal-laden trucks seized

SHILLONG: Illegal transportation of mineral resources continues unabated in the State as one abandoned coal-laden truck seized from Garo Hills.
Mukesh Marak lodged a complaint on November 24 that he detected one abandoned coal-laden truck (AS-18C-2378) on NH-62 in East Garo Hills. Later, Police seized the truck and kept the same at Rongmil OGC Camp for safe custody.
On Tuesday too, Police detected one coal-laden truck (ML-05G-8815) at Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi.

Trucks without valid documents detained
Meanwhile, the Range Forest Officer, Simsanggre Range, Williamnagar also lodged a complaint that on November 14, fourteen trucks were found transporting boulders to Bangladesh with expired transit challans.
