Bethany Society chief to get national award

SHILLONG: Carmo Noronha, executive director of Bethany Society, has been nominated for an award to be presented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3.
Noronha has been named for the ‘Best Individual working for the cause of Persons with Disabilities’ award.
Also, Monfort Centre for Education, Tura, has been nominated for the Best Institution Promoting Inclusive Education.
The awards will be presented by the President at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
