The council authorities instructed the hospital authorities to arrange free treatment for the injured.

Ronghang, who also apprised health minister, Pijush Hazarika about the incident, further instructed the health department officials to arrange ambulances to take the six seriously injured passengers who were referred to GMCH.

“We are being told that the driver of the truck might have been under the influence of alcohol,” he said.
