GUWAHATI: Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) is organising an International Conference on Renewable and Alternate Energy (ICRAE-2018) on December 4 – 6, 2018 at NEDFi Convention Centre here.
The Conference aspires to disseminate and network on renewable and alternate energy research with special emphasis to the subjects with emerging research interests such as bio-fuel, bioenergy, fuel technologies, waste to energy conversions, climate change etc.
ICRAE-2018 provides a platform for researchers and specialists across the globe to formulate a roadmap for renewable and alternate energy technology based sustainable development. The main topics to be covered in the conference are: advanced and conventional bio-fuels, bio-energy, biomass conversion technologies, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, fusion energy, fuel technologies, waste to energy conversion, waste management, environmental compliances, energy- environment and climate change, energy for sustainable future, energy conservation and management, integrated /hybrid energy systems, alternate Energy resources and all other renewable energy technologies
Scientists, faculty members and young researchers from technical institutions from across the country and abroad will present over 100 different research articles on the relevant fields of energy in the conference. There will be altogether ten technical sessions and scientists, academicians and distinguished experts from IITs, NITs, central and state universities and other reputed institutions of the country will deliver keynote speeches on various topics of renewable energy.
Dr. Dhiraj Bora, Vice Chancellor, Assam Science and Technology University shall welcome participants and delegates in the inaugural ceremony to be held on December 4, 2018 at 10.00 am. Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General, The Energy Resource Institute (TERI), New Delhi will be present as the Chief Guest of the occasion while B J Phukan, Director (Technical) of Numaligarh Refinery Limited, has been invited as Guest of Honour.
