SHILLONG: A cobbled trekking footpath that leads Lumsohphoh Upper Lumparing to Shillong View Point Peak was opened on Saturday. South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated the footpath which was constructed at the cost of Rs. 33,70,000.
Shullai, who was the chief guest, thanked the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing and the Tourism Department for their support, saying that the footpath will cut short the distance between the locality and View Point.
The inauguration was attended by the members of the Dorbar Shnong, members of Seng Kynthei, officials of Tourism Department and residents of the locality.
