Accident
On Sunday around 2:30 pm, one motorcycle (ML-14-0954) knocked down Reboti Koch (60) at Gasura Tri-Junction in South West Garo Hills. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Ampati Civil Hospital after which she was later referred to CH Tura for better treatment.
On November 30, one Maruti van (ML-05D-4848) driven by Banraplang Ryntathiang (22) dashed against one truck (ML-06-8816) driven by Pheldingston L Nonglait (40) at Kyllang Junction in West Khasi Hills. The driver and one occupant of the van sustained injuries and were taken to U Tirot Sing Syiem Memorial Hospital in Mairang.
Vishal David (35) sustained injuries after his autorickshaw skidded and rammed into a stationary truck at 14th Mile on Saturday around 7:59pm. David was taken to Byrnihat PHC by a Byrnihat-based 108 ambulance.
Amarjeet Dev Burma (35) sustained injuries after the truck (NL 01 0417) he was driving capsized at Thangshalai area around 03:05 pm on Sunday. Burma was taken to Mawryngkneng PHC by a Mawryngkneng-based 108 mbulance.
In a hit and run case, on Sunday around 3pm, Rohit Rajak (19) who was riding his scooty, sustained injuries after he was hit by a Sumo at 3rd Mile in Upper Shillong around. He was taken to Civil Hospital by Pomlum-based 108 ambulance.
Kamle Sar (49) sustained injuries after he was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle which fled the scene. The incident happened at Rilbong Point on Sunday around 5:21pm. The victim was taken to Civil Hospital by 108 ambulance.

Assault
Kun Talang lodged a complaint stating that on Sunday around 2 pm, three unidentified persons assaulted him after he had caught them stealing betel nuts from his farm at Balian in Byrnihat.
Rapborlang Moksha lodged a complaint stating that on December 1, three persons identified as Shlur Sylliang, Seibor Makdoh and Deng Shadap assaulted the complainant at Mawlyngkhung village in Ri Bhoi.
Nongi M Marak (35) lodged a complaint stating that on November 29 around 3 pm, one Darong S Sangma assaulted her at Kambakpara village in South West Garo Hills. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted at CH Ampati for treatment.
Rabina Ahmed lodged a complaint stating that on November 23 around 9:30am, seven persons travelling in a Mahendra pick-up threatened the complainant, her husband and others with dire consequences at Koraibari village. The accused – Abdullah Miah, Bapi Miah, Hasinur Miah, Abdus Salam and their accomplices also pushed the complainant to the ground.
Andy Sawkmie (41) sustained injuries after he was assaulted by unknown miscreants in Motphran on Saturday around 7:15pm. The victim was taken to Civil Hospital by a 108 ambulance.
Cyber crime
North Garo Hills NGOs comprising GSU, FKJGP, FAF, AAYF, AYWO, GHSMC & ARSUM lodged a joint complaint on November 29 against a video clip uploaded on a Facebook account in the name of LST Rabha. The complainants stated that such a video may create communal disharmony and violence between different communities and that the person behind the video post has insulted, outraged and threatened the people of the Garo community.

Drug bust
On November 30 around 1:45pm, Police intercepted one vehicle (ML-04B-3917) driven by Gensing Bareh at Ladrymbai Dongwah in East Jaintia Hills. After searching the vehicle, police recovered 0.24 grams of Heroin.
Man suffers 98% burns
Donbor Bina (50) sustained 98 percent burn injuries when he was trying to put out a fire in Mawhati on Monday around 2:12am. He was taken to Imsning CHC by an Umsning-based 108 ambulance.
Reckless driving claims life
As a result of negligent and reckless driving, on November 29 around 11pm, one Maruti Alto (ML-04C-4664) knocked down Khreh Sangma at Iawmusiang Jowai in West Jaintia Hills and fled. Sangma sustained injuries and was admitted at Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital Jowai for treatment. He was later taken to Shillong Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Later, the same car dashed against one stationary Bolero Pick-up (ML-04B-2588) at Wahgate Sumo Stand. A criminal case has been registered in this connection.

Theft
Jacob Mawthoh lodged a complaint stating that between November 19 to 30 during his absence, unknown miscreants broke into his shop at Demthring and stole a TV set and speakers valued around Rs 20,000.
Wanbhalin Mawthoh lodged a complaint stating that on November 30 around 10:30 am, she and others apprehended one Franky Lyngdoh Mawphlang who had trespassed onto her property and had attempted to steal a JCB jack at Kynton-U-Mon, Lad Nongkrem in East Khasi Hills.
Amit Kumar Singh lodged a complaint stating that on November 29, unknown miscreants broke into his shop at Chakki Line in Iewduh and stole Rs 1,85,630 cash and goods valued around Rs. 23,70,216.
Lucky Singh lodged a complaint stating that on November 26 around 6:30 pm, unidentified miscreants snatched his cell phone near the petrol pump in Demthring.
