River Rafting training concludes in Nongkhnum

NONGSTOIN: The District Sports Officer West Khasi Hills Nongstoiñ incollaboration with District Sports Promotion Society (DSPS) and Nongkhnum Area Lai Shnong Integrated Village Co-operative Society (NALSIVCS) has concluded the 6 months training on River Rafting and Kayaking in Nongkhnum river.
The six months training aimed to trained the local youths of Nongkhnum area.The training was concluded on Tuesday at Pheinam Beach in the presence of Shri T. Lyngwa IAS Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills as Chief Guest who was accompanied by P.B War Nongbri DSO  WKHD Nongstoiñ, Secretary NALIVCS S.
Marthong, Deepak Rana ghe master trainer along with 17 youths who have been trained in long months training.
Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills, T. Lyngwa IAS when speaking at the function said that the training of kayaking and river rafting was the first in the state of Meghalaya.
