SHILLONG: The postmortem report of the woman whose body was found on the bank of the Umshyrpi late on Tuesday night has ruled out any physical or forced sexual assault.
SP (City) Steve Rynjah said as per report, there was no forced sexual assault and “it indicates that hypothermia may be the cause of her death”.
However, police said they are suspecting a person and the forensic team is working on the case.
The question still remains why the woman’s body was unclothed when it was found. She went missing on November 30.
