SHILLONG: The central executive committee of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has selected Bines Ksanlah as the president of the zonal committee in Shella after Leston Wanswett stepped down from the post.
A meeting in Shella was held to discuss on the preparation for the upcoming 2019 council election. Party president Ivanlumlang Marbaniang spoke on the need to strengthen the party in the constituency.
Wanswett was behind UDP MLA and Assembly Speaker Donkupar Roy by only a hundred votes. The meeting also confirmed Sparkle Wann as the working president, Badap Majaw as joint secretary, Talbot Diengdoh as advisor, Pyndap Pyngrope as general secretary and many others.
