BSF nabs two Bangladeshi nationals

Shillong: BSF troops deployed on the international border of Dona in East Jaintia Hills apprehended one Bangladeshi national who was trying to exfiltrate into the neighbouring country on Tuesday.
He was identified as fifty-year-old Abdul Latif Halder, a resident of Sarkarfutia village in Parispur district in Bangladesh. While searching him the police seized household items worth Rs. 36,475 and Indian currency of Rs 770.In another incident, BSF troops deployed at Gasuapara, South Garo Hills, apprehended one Bangladeshi national identified as Taufiq Hussain Bhuiya on the zero line on August 11. During questioning, he revealed that he is a graduate in Homeopath Pharmacy and got married in the year 2012 at his village Nayanagar in Bangladesh but after one year he got divorced and wanted to settle in India at any cost. He met two Bangladeshi cattle smugglers who promised to help him to settle in India but when they were chased by the BSF troops they fled away towards Bangladesh.
