Accident
On December 11 around 4 pm, one Maruti car (AS-25B-3160) dashed against one truck (WB-41H-4821) at Umsaw Nongkharai village in Ri Bhoi. Four persons sustained injures and were taken to GHRC Hospital in Guwahati.
Bangladeshi national held in EJH
On December 11, BSF personnel of Dona BOP in East Jaintia Hills, apprehended one Bangladeshi national identified as Md. Abdul Latif Haladar (50). Haladar was later handed over to Umkiang PP.
Man held for wife’s murder
Ri Bhoi police have arrested a person for allegedly murdering his seven-month pregnant wife. The arrested person has been identified as one Pynshai Nongrang of Umlangkrew village under Umsohlait PS in Ri Bhoi. The victim, Ibansha Lumlang Rympei, was murdered on the night of December 10.
Theft
Raplang Challam of Barapathar, Shillong lodged a complaint stating that on December 8 around 1 pm, unknown miscreants broke into his house and stole Rs 1 lakh cash.
Anderson Pale lodged a complaint stating that around 1 pm on Wednesday, unknown miscreants stole his tablet computer from his pharmacy in Madanrting.
