Two trucks seized for transporting illegal coal

SHILLONG: Despite the initial denial of the State Government about illegal coal mining, the transportation of illegal coal continue to take place as police are continuously detaining trucks carrying coal, a delay report said
On December 11 at 6.20 am, one coal-laden truck (AS-01-4017) driven by Dalminson Ch Marak was seized at Thapa Darengchigre Check Gate in North Garo Hills while transporting coal without challans.
Prior to the detection on December 10 at 2 pm, police detected and seized a truck (AS-01A-4379) driven by Raj Kumar Chauhan on Gajingbibra Dekachang Road in the same district while transporting coal without challans.
