Carolling
The Ultimate Legend Bikers’ Association will celebrate the Christmas carolling cum charity programme on Tuesday at Nongstoin along with street children, children working as newspaper vendors and orphans. The carolling will be flagged off from U Soso Tham auditorium parking at 9 am and then proceed to Nongstoin. The association invited all two-wheelers from the city to participate.

Cleaning drive
The NSS Seng Khasi College, which includes the Programme Officers and Volunteers, organised a cleaning drive on its college campus on Saturday.

Launched
The Arsla Organic Tea growers and Producers co-operative Society Ltd. has got its tea products launched on Saturday. APC & Addl. Chief Secretary K.N. Kumar attended the programme as chief guest while Magbool Lyngdoh Suiam, Asst. Director Horticulture, a guest of honour.

Dry days
The DC (Excise), South West Khasi Hills has declared dry day in the district on December 24 and 25 on account of Christmas Eve as well as on January 1, 2019 on account of New Year. All Liquor Shops /IMFL shops /bars/hotels/C.A bars/C.S. shops/ canteen and outstill stalls will remain closed on the above mentioned dates.
