Bangladeshi national held
A complaint was lodged recently stating that during interrogation Sabbir Ahmed was revealed to be a Bangladeshi national. Ahmed, a resident of Kenri, Jantapur in Sylhet, could not produce any valid travel document when asked to.
Body recovered
On December 19, the body of Kripon Rabha was recovered from Rongalgre in West Garo Hills. The deceased had been reported missing from his residence at Naguapara village since December 13.
Trucks detained
On Sunday around 7:30 am, Police detected two trucks AS-01EC-5479 and AS-01GC-1677 transporting coal without valid challans at Lad Umsaw in Umiam, Ri Bhoi.
Accidents
On Sunday around 4:30am, one vehicle (ML-10B-5297) driven by Prinbirth Sangma dashed against a wall at 18th Mile in Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi. The driver along with three occupants sustained injuries and were taken to CHC Byrnihat.
On Saturday, one motorcycle (ML-13-0397) ridden by Martin M Sangma (19 yrs) dashed against one electric pole near Ampati Indoor Stadium in South West Garo Hills. The motorcycle rider along with two pillion riders sustained injuries and were taken to CH Ampati.
Assault
On December 19 around 10 am, Karlus Kanai attacked Shilbard Kanai with an axe at Mowtyrshiah-B village in West Jaintia Hills. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to NEIGRIHMS. Police have arrested the accused.
Theft
On Saturday around 8 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle belonging to Ksan Kupar Mawlong from Lumshyiap.
Ridaburom Pasi lodged a complaint stating that on December 21, unknown miscreants broke into her residential quarter at RP Chest Hospital and stole clothes, utensils and a ladies bag.
On December 20 morning, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti Gypsy (ML-08E-8025) belonging to Ferroso D Arengh from Daldagre in West Garo Hills.
Growing A Sangma lodged a complaint stating that on December 19 around 10:30 pm, his motorcycle was found missing from Ampati Bazar in South West Garo Hills.
