NEHU Rangers express gratitude for new pay

SHILLONG: The 1st Ranger Security Guard NEHU unit, permanent campus thanked the North Eastern Hill University Students’ Union (NEHUSU) for their support in the security guard’s demand for a new pay scale.
In a statement issued here, the Ranger Security Guards faced challenges due to meager salary and lauded NEHUSU for taking the initiative in helping the security guard get the new pay which is as per the central rate.
The security guards also expressed gratitude to former NEHUSU president Pynkmenlang Sanmiet for paying attention to their demand for a new pay as well as to address their grievances of delayed payment and EPF.
Sanmiet assured the security guards to take up the matter. The security guards also thanked chairman of RSSO who heeded the grievances of the security guards.
