SHILLONG: A music festival cum nightclub celebratory vibe, Nowhere is Here will be held at the picturesque settings of the Umiam lake facing Lumdiengiei Hills organised by Center Point Entertainment Network (CPEN) on December 31.
For the introductory year, CPEN will host Grammy award winners, India’s top hip hop DJ’s, international acts like exhibition that has a Shillong connect, North East’s premier DJ’s and the best young musical artists of Shillong.
It is the beginning of an annual celebration to be held in Shillong and the music will be accompanied with bonfires, barbeque zones, a food court comprising of popular cafes and restaurants from the city and beverage stalls.
The organisers want the festival to be known as a green & clean festival by encouraging people not to litter and use plastic bags not only at the venue but also in their everyday lives.
The festival will be a platform to educate and make people aware of the environmental issues faced nowadays by highlighting the importance of keeping the cities, towns and countryside clean by disposing garbage in bins and saying no to plastic bags.
