SHILLONG: Only eight cases of drunken driving were reported in Shillong city during the New Year bash.
SP (City) Steve Rynjah said that there was no accident and the people who were found to be driving under the influence of liquor were sent for medical examination and accordingly legal action were taken against them.
The SP also expressed happiness over the fact that people were very disciplined while driving their vehicles during the new year celebrations as only eight cases of drunken driving was reported from the city.
