Oxen seized at international border

Shillong: The office of the Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills district informed that on December 12, 2018 the BSF personnel of Rongtila BOP seized 2 oxen while conducting patrolling along the International Border under Dawki PS jurisdiction.
The oxen were intended for smuggling to Bangladesh by unknown culprits who managed to escape.
Hence in this regard a case was registered vide Dawki PS C/No. 29(12)2018 U/S 11 PCA Act.
It request the owners or anyone who has information of the owner or culprits to approach Dawki Police Station/Muktapur PP for taking further necessary action.
Earlier on November 27 , the BSF personnel of Naljuri BOP also seized 10 oxen while conducting patrolling along the International Border under Dawki PS jurisdiction, intended for smuggling to Bangladesh.
