AGARTALA: BJP national president Amit Shah on Saturday asserted that NDA will return to power at the Centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi and will win at least 21 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the North East and 23 of the 42 in West Bengal.
Setting the tone for the election campaign in North East while addressing party workers, Shah indicated that general elections will be held as per schedule in April-May this year. He further pointed out that he will visit each state of the region while BJP’s poll manifesto team headed by union home minister Rajnath Singh would visit each state of the country to include the pan India issues.
Without naming West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Shah told the media later that people of the state have been passing days without any peace and they are fed up with the Congress, Communists and Trinamool Congress. The law and order situation in Bengal is getting worse and the BJP has already appeared to be the alternative for the state.
Criticising the proposed grand alliance of Congress and some other parties ahead of the upcoming elections, Shah said, “Na neta hain na niti hainsarkar banana to dur ki bat hein. (There is no leader no ideology forming the government is a distant dream) for the so called alliance.
He argued people of the country have seen the scale of corruption up to Rs 12000 Cr in 10 years of UPA rule but there is no single charge of corruption against Modi led government so far except a bogus allegation of Rafale deal, which has been detailed by defense minister Nirmala Sitaraman in Rajyasabha after Supreme Court quash all the charges. The Modi government when came in power in 2014 there was only six states with BJP and today BJP is ruling 16 states directly.
The congress and communist have been uprooted from Northeast because of prioritizing the core issues of the region with utmost sincerity and sensitivity by Modi government in last five years.
Northeast witnessed a new phase of development since 2014 and it’s scale is going up day by day, Shah said adding that against the recommendation of devolution of fund of Rs 7000 Cr by14th finance commission, Modi government has given about Rs 25000 Cr only for Tripura in last five years and there are as many as 129 schemes and projects have been running successfully in the state.
After 25 years people of Tripura have overcome the feeling of fear, repression and politics of murder and now was the time to build up a vibrant and developed state.
He said that the left front government had deliberately insulted the royal family and deprived of their due recognition and honour but the BJP led governments in Centre and state have done so by renaming Agartala airport after last king Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.
Deb Confident: There is only two seats for Lok Sabha in Tripura and the people of this state are ready to support BJP government for the next time in India, said Biplab Deb, Chief Minister of Tripura.
Mr Deb addressed here in the public meeting at Swami Vivekananda Moydan in Agartala in Saturday where representatives of BJP from all over the state were present. Amit Shah and other central level leaders were present.
While addressing, Mr Deb said that both the seats of Tripura are required for blooming lotus in India and Tripura people will help to bloom Lotus in India.
Mr Deb read the oath in the meeting and all the member of BJP accentuated with CM. It is the ten month government in Tripura and the state will achieve the model state after three years.
A total of 4000 numbers people in Tripura got the employment through MSME. Tripura Government is trying to implement the concept of Prime Minister of India as he said the concept of HIRA, added Mr Deb. (UNI)
