Baroda beat Meghalaya in U-23 Women’s T20

SHILLONG: Meghalaya were dealt a second defeat in the U-23 Women’s T20 League as Baroda won their Group A match by eight wickets in Kochi on Tuesday. Baroda won the toss and chose to field and Meghalaya made 38/8 in their 20 overs. Although none of the batsmen made it into double figures, the positive was that Meghalaya batted out their full allotment of overs. In the chase Baroda made 39/2 in 6.1 overs. S Jaba showed her potential as a bowler, taking 1/14 in three economical overs. Hajong claimed 1/7 in one over. After two rounds Baroda are at the top of Group A. Meghalaya will next take on Goa on Thursday at the same venue.
