SHILLONG: Meghalaya turned in a good bowling performance in their U-23 Women’s T20 League match in Kochi on Thursday, but Goa were still victorious, winning the Group A match by 85 runs. Goa won the toss and opted to bat first, but were restricted to just 120/4 in their 20 overs by Meghalaya’s bowlers. A very economical Deiphibapynshngain L Mawnai took 2/21 in her allotted four overs, while Hajong claimed 1/13 in three overs and S Jaba 1/26 in four. However, Meghalaya struggled with the bat once again and were only able to make 35/9 in their 20 overs. Meghalaya will play Punjab on Friday. Punjab had won their opening two matches.
