The other issues discussed were returning of the disputed land at Block-II to the state and construction of the Ri Bhoi National Dorbar Hall.
In his address to the gathering, Sangma lauded the leaders of the Ri Bhoi Dorbar for their collective responsibility to bring all round development in the district and said that the leaders have set a good example for other districts in the state.
The chief minister also said the government is taking the development of the district seriously and as Ri Bhoi was named as one of the ‘aspirational districts’, special schemes from the Centre as well as from State will be implemented to bring about development.
