NONGPOH: The Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF), Raid Nongrung Circle, has expressed its concern over poor implementation of a KHADC scheme at Pdengt-leit Ummat in Mawhati.
The scheme amounting to Rs 25 lakh was meant for construction of fence and a sitting shed at Lawkyntang Mawbah Mawshyieng at Pdengtleit Ummat. However, during inspection, it was found that the fence that was supposed to be concrete was only made by using barbed wire. The sitting shed was also constructed poorly, which they alleged that must have cost around Rs 1 lakh.“The amount sanctioned and the construction work do not tally and the KHADC should conduct an inquiry to find out those involved in this,” they said.
