Assault
On January 26 around 1pm, Iohbor Marboh sustained injuries after his elder brother Michael Marboh (31) assaulter his with an iron rod at Mawlynrei, Dong Nonglum.
Pinky Devi lodged a complaint stating that since 2010 her husband, Pintu Prasad along with her in-laws physically and emotionally tortured her for dowry.
Kamli Thapa lodged a complaint stating that on January 25 around 11pm, her husband Deshap Thapa stabbed her with a knife while she was asleep.

Gresina K Sangma of Nameram village lodged a complaint stating that her daughter Chimasil K Sangma had been missing since January 20.

TR Marak, Executive Magistrate lodged a complaint stating that on January 20, he had received a tip-off informing him about the existence of illegal coal mines at Gambegre and Marakpara villages in West Garo Hills. The complainant stated that he rushed to the spot and sealed off the mines to prevent the extraction of coal.
