GUWAHATI: City police here went into a tizzy on Friday when one of the protestors against Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 went naked on the street in front of Assam Secretariat at Dispur while three others shed their clothes to undergarments.

Policemen in the site swung into action in no time and wrapped the nude and seminude protestors with blankets and took them to Khanapara Veterinary College Ground.

The semi-nude and nude protesters were identified as Sonaram Das, Harakanta Das, Bubul Deka and Naren Kakoti who went completely naked.

The protesters, who were participating in the renewed agitation called by 70 indigenous organisations of the state, shouted slogans denouncing the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for trying to enact the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
