MLA takes up cantonment water scarcity issue

SHILLONG: South Shillong legislator Sanbor Shullai convened a public meeting in Jhalupara to resolve the public complaints regarding water crisis in entire Shillong Cantonment area.
The meeting was attended by the ward members, president of Jhalupara village council, NGOs and leaders of various religious organisations.
During the meeting, Shullai as part of addressing the long pending water problem, handed over approval letter from the PHE department to the Senior Engineer of the Shillong Cantonment Board towards upgradation of existing water pipeline from the same source to improve and increase supply of water for entire area.
