USTM offers scholarships for poor students

GUWAHATI: ERD Foundation in association with Asam Sahitya Sabha, the apex literary body of the state, launched 20 scholarships and two fellowships for meritorious, economically disadvantaged students to pursue higher education.
The fellowships and scholarships were launched in memory of 22 former Sahitya Sabha presidents.
Launching the scholarships/fellowships on the concluding day of the 10th annual session of Asam Sahitya Sabha at Raha on Sunday, Mahbubul Hoque, chairman of ERD Foundation and chancellor of University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), said the initiative has been taken keeping in mind the ERD Foundation’s mission to help meritorious, economically disadvantaged students pursue higher education at USTM.
