JOWAI: Winning Garland Sungoh, Congress MDC in the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, will contest the council election on UDP ticket from Mowkaiaw constituency in West Jaintia Hills.
Sungoh decided to join UDP ahead of the election because the party aspirant withdrew from the race owing to personal reasons.
The UDP has welcomed Sungoh, who was elected in 2014 from the Congress.
