SHILLONG: Altogether 16 nominations have been filed till date for the upcoming Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) election.
In East Khasi Hills, seven nominations have been filed followed by four in Nongstoin (West Khasi Hills), three in Ri Bhoi and two in Mawkyrwat (South West Khasi Hills).
Some of the prominent candidates who have filed their nominations include Latiplang Kharkongor, Fantin Joseph Lakadong, James Sylliang and Gigur Myrthong.
Filing of nominations started last Saturday.
