Pariong back in HSPDP after a decade

NONGSTOIN: Senior politician A Pariong has come back to the HSPDP more than 10 years after he quit the party.
HSPDP leaders W Mawsor and LG Nongsiej, among others welcomed Pariong into the party at a function held at Bishop Hall here on Friday.
HSPDP supporters said Pariong’s comeback “will strengthen the party, especially before the upcoming KHADC election”.
“The party will get stronger and emerge victorious in the council election after the former MLA and right-hand man of party founder Hoping Stone Lyngdoh has willingly come to support the HSPDP,” Nongsiej said and urged party members to work hard.
Pariong, while addressing the gathering, said to win the KHADC election, “all supporters will have to work hard for the victory of the party”.
