Meghalaya BJP MLA Hek happy over lapsed CAB

SHILLONG:  One of the two BJP MLAs in Meghalaya and the state’s health and family welfare minister, A L Hek hailed lapse Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in Rajya Sabha on February 14.

Talking to media persons here on Friday, Hek said that  the lapsing of the Bill in Rajya Sabha was a victory for the people of the North  East, Meghalaya and the incumbent Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) Government.

Reiterating that the MDA Government from the Day one had opposed the Bill, he also appreciated Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma for taking the initiative to lead from the front in opposing the Bill

“This is the biggest achievement of our Government and the people of the region,” Hek said
