GUWAHATI: The Patriotic People’s Front Assam (PPFA) has urged the Centre to take responsive action against the perpetrators of the Pulwama attack in which over 40 CRPF men were martyred.

In a statement here on Sunday, PPFA while condemning the attack, also appealed to the aggrieved nation to be mindful while expressing anger as it might be misused by anti-nationals within the country.

According to reports, the Pakistan-based terror outfit, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had claimed responsibility for the attack, carried out by Adil Ahmad Dar, a suicide bomber from Kashmir on February 14.

“We must understand that the armed revolution for an independent Kashmir (comprising all parts of Kashmir) has already lost its relevance as the Islamists have grabbed the space. Now it is no longer orchestrated for the Kashmiri people, but for the Islamists only, which was reflected with Adil’s pre-attack video recording claiming that he was moving to heaven,” the statement issued by PPFA, said.

Lauding the government, organisations and individuals for pledging to take care of the families of martyrs, PPFA further urged the people of the Northeast to be wary of individuals “who often come out with voluminous logic on the basis of India’s Constitution, rule of law, humanity, etc, but never stand with the victims of terrorism.”
