TURA: Aiming at working for the development and welfare of the society, the Meghalaya Hajong Welfare Association (MHWA) was recently formed in West Garo Hills.
The association elected Deben Hajong as President, Kaushik Hajong, Anukul hajong and Nabakrishna Hajong as vice presidents, Rupam Hajong as General Secretary, Sujit Hajong and Jagadish Hajong as joint secretaries, Ananda Hajong, Rupayan Hajong, Lelin Hajong and Poritosh Hajong as organizing secretaries, Surama Hajong and Biswajit Hajong as cultural secretaries, Rotneswar Hajong as Publicity Secretary and Gorindra Hajong as Treasurer besides 20 other executive members.
