SHILLONG: ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness,’ with this firm belief and to promote the message of cleanliness among the general public, 65 volunteers from Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) undertook a cleanliness drive on the premises of Goenka Hospital in the city.
It was an unprecedented friendly encounter which drew support and appreciation from all who witnessed it. With brooms and baskets in hand, the volunteers collected the garbage and swept the entire area and spread awareness on cleanliness and eco-friendly practices. Various office bearers of Goenka Hospital staff were the guests at the inaugural of the event.
Mukhi Premnath Prasad said, “Social endeavours like cleanliness, tree plantation and blood donation by the volunteers of SNCF will continue in the future to guide and motivate people to join such noble causes.”
