NEW DELHI: Pakistan has warned that it will respond to the Indian air strikes but the sense in New Delhi is that Islamabad has limited options to retaliate.

Sources said that India’s strike was only against terror pads and civilians and military installations were carefully avoided during the bombing.

Pakistan can only retaliate by mobilizing its army, which cannot be done overnight. It will take a lot of courage for the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to hit back considering the fact that there are no terror camps operating in India.

A strike against civilian and military targets in India will be an uneven response to what India has done which was strictly against terror infrastructure.

While confirming the aerial strike, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale had kept the focus only on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

However, Indian armed forces are on a high alert to deal with any response from Pakistan, sources said.

An official said that India’s response has been a paradigm shift in its policy on dealing with Pakistan-sponsored terror strikes.red terror strikes. IANS
