Accident
On Wednesday around 4am, one truck dashed against another stationary truck (ML-08E-7965) along the Dalu-Purakhasia Road at Kasipara village in West Garo Hills. The driver and one occupant of the stationary truck sustained injuries and were taken to PHC Purakhasia for treatment.
Assault
Mohit Sunar lodged a complaint stating that on February 26 around 9pm, two persons identified as Nelson Sukhlain and Fabian Chettri (Bobby) assaulted him while he was shopping at Barapathar Point.
Rising Shylla, Stanly Shylla and Archilus Shylla lodged a joint complaint stating that on February 26 around 10 pm, eight persons identified as Dapmain Shylla, Ravi Nongtdu, Will Shylla, Arki Sympli, Brito Pala, Rima Nongtdu, Laski Lapasam and Amus Nongtdu attacked the trio while they were on their way home near Sacred Heart School, Byndihati in East Jaintia Hills. They also threatened the complainants with dire consequences if they attempted to cast their vote at Byndihati Polling Station on February 27.
NGT violation
On February 25 around 8:15 pm, police detected and seized one truck (AS-01-FC-2526) while illegally transporting coal at Kherapara in West Garo Hills.
