SHILLONG: The Governor of Meghalaya, Tathagata Roy, has summoned the first session for the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected MDCs of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) on Wednesday at the District Council Hall at 11 am.
A notification to this effect was issued by the District Council Affairs (DCA) department on Monday. The election to the office of Chairman of the KHADC will be on March 8, the notification said.
However, there was some confusion with some MDCs indicating election of the Chairman could be either on March 7 or March 8.
