Special camps
The District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills, has informed that special camps will be organised on March 8 and 9 in all polling stations for enrollment of left out eligible electors. As part of the campaign, Booth Level Officers have been directed to be present in their respective polling stations for distribution of forms and receiving claims and objections. The copy of the final electoral rolls will be available in the polling stations for electors to check their names. The electoral rolls will also be read out publicly during the camp to facilitate illiterate voters.

Circuit Court
The Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench, comprising of Manjula Das, Member (J) and N Neihsial, Member (A) will hold Circuit Court in Shillong on March 14 and 15.

Bihu meet
The annual general body meeting of Meghalaya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan will be held on the premises of Asom Kristi Kendra at 6 pm on Wednesday. All members have been requested to attend.

Weather forecast
The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast likelihood of thunder squalls accompanied by lightning at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Shad Lyngdoh
The Shad Lyngdoh of Raid Shabong, Khyrim Syiemship will be held at Madan Shad Rangthylliang, Pynursla, Raid Shabong, Khyrim Syiemship, Pynursla Civil Sub-Division, East Khasi Hills on March 16.

Theatre fest
The National School of Drama, in association with the Department of Arts and Culture, is organising a 10-day theatre festival, Rashtriya Poorvottar Rang Utsav, at U Soso Tham Auditorium. The festival started on March 1. Rangkarmee, a renowned drama troupe from Kolkata, will perform on Tuesday. The play, Hum Mukhtara, is directed by Usha Ganguli.
