Theft
Nehal Kashyap of New Colony, Laitumkhrah, lodged a complaint that on March 5, between 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, miscreants broke into his residence and stole two laptops worth Rs. 70,000.

14-year-old killed in accident
A 14-year-old boy, James Brooklyn Kharkrang was accidentally run over by a bus (ML-10B-8166) at Shnongpdeng village in West Jaintia Hills around 2 pm on March 4. He was shifted to CHC Dawki for treatment, where he was declared brought dead. Necessary formalities were observed.

Coal-laden vehicles seized
Police seized four coal-laden vehicles (AS-01-DC-6780, AS-25C-9531, AS-18C-7680 and AS-17B-0564) at Chilpara-Dainadubi area (NGH) around 3 am on March 4. All the vehicles were brought to Dainadubi outpost in North Garo Hills. However, the drivers of the vehicle managed to escape.
