3 dead in separate accidents across state

SHILLONG: A bolero pick-up truck (ML-06-8954) with 35 occupants recently fell into a gorge at Mattilang park junction in 6th mile, Upper Shillong.
The vehicle was driven by 21-year-old Lebison Kharmawphlang. The injured were taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Pomlum, where some of the other victims were referred to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
Shosteering Kharkongor (19) was declared brought dead by the attending medical officer.
In a separate incident, a mini truck (AS-01-JC-1900) fell into a gorge at Shymplong, NH-6 in East Jaintia Hills. Md Shajahan Ali, the truck driver and his helper died at the very spot of the accident.
