TURA: The Excise Department in West Garo Hills has arrested altogether 36 persons under Section 53(1) (a) of the ME Act in raids conducted all over the district during the months of January and February this year.
During the raids, 36 cases were detected including 10 unclaimed case and approximately 62.02 litres of IMFL, 81.375 litres of Beer and 64.005 litres of ID liquor were seized. In this regard, 35 cases were disposed off and a fine amounting to Rs 19,500 was realized.
