Two militants killed in gunfight in Pulwama

Srinagar: Two unidentified militants were killed on Sunday in a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
The gunfight broke out in Pinglish village of Tral area in Pulwama as security forces, surrounding the area specific information about presence of militants there, came under fire from the hiding militants and retaliated.
“Firing exchanges have stopped, but searches are now going on,” a police officer said.
Reports said the house in which the militants were hiding was destroyed in the operation. (IANS)
