SHILLONG: Congress legislator HM Shangpliang, while taking part in the discussion on governor’s address in the Assembly on Monday, said the government is yet to take action against various anomalies at Pine Mount School.
He said the chairperson of child rights commission had found many defects in the functioning of the school and called for immediate action.
The legislator expressed surprise over the government’s delay in taking action based on the report of the commission.
He also pointed out that Pine Mount School admitted more students than the names declared.
Giving an example, Shangpliang said the official list found in the notice board was 179 but 13 more names were added in the second list, which is a matter of concern.
