SHILLONG: The following are the roads which have been renamed by the State Government, Mawlai Mawroh-Umshing, Mawkynroh, Mawtawar, Nongkohlew, Mawsiatkhnam to Madan Mawkhar as Saint Mother Theresa Road; Howell Road, Laban as Thranghok J. Rangad Road; Zig Zag Road, Rilbong as Ardhendu Choudhuri Road; ABP Road Batti Bazar, Laban as Roland Lyngdoh Road; Syheltipara Road, Laban as Krep Sing Swer Road; Jackson Trace Road, Lower Lumparing as Melinton Kharkongor Road and the road from Araimile junction to AMPT NEC Road via ICFAI as P.A. Sangma Road.
Further the government has renamed the Kynshi Raishan village as Kynshi village and the Dikki Bandi (M.P. Stadium), Tura as P.A. Sangma Stadium.
This was informed by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, General Administration Department.
